HONE is a soon-to-be launched line of furniture designed and produced by the award-winning Indian architectural & interior design practice - studio HINGE. In recognition of the demand for high quality sustainable furniture offered by an AD100 practice, the studio proposes the launch of a distinct brand: HONE.

HONE:HOME will be our debut collection.

 

In a world racing toward collective obsolescence, this collection aspires to slow living and longevity. Contemporary in outlook, HONE:HOME is steeped in sensuality, expressed in flaring hips and lingering legs. Handmade in India and sculpted of recycled teak, these pieces hark back to a time when life was gentler, softer round the edges.

 

Each of the objects in this collection has been designed and curated by the principal architect for his own use, and put through the paces of daily life via rigorous use testing. 

 

We would like this to be furniture that is passed down generations. 

 

 “Hone” in Punjabi, means “now”.
